Barista

We are looking for an experienced barista who is well versed in manual style espresso machines and griders to join our team

But first, a little about us: The Coffee Corner opened in january 2025. We are a small, family-owned business located in the heart of Baltimore and have slowly been growing and expanding over the past few years. With our drinks, we take pride in creating quality drinks with minimal additives using house-made syrups and flavors only. We adore our customers and make an effort to remember our regulars by name and order-friendly customer service is an absolute must!

Our shop is open Tuesday-Friday from 7am-3pm and Saturday & Sunday from 8:30am-2pm. We are looking for a confident, friendly person who can organize themselves to ensure tasks are completed efficiently but also someone who can work as a part of a team. We are a small team but when we are busy (especially on the weekends), we all need to communicate clearly with one another to ensure orders get out to customers quickly and efficiently. Because we are still growing as a business, baristas are also expected to clean dishes and do minimal food prep (make smoothies, prep sandwiches, cut bagels etc). Please note: this is an active job which will require you to be on your feet for most of the shift.

Job requirements:

• At least 1 year of active experience as a barista using manual-style equipment
• Can reliably show up on time for early morning shifts
• Can organize and self-delegate tasks
• Food manager certificate: not required but highly recommended. You may be working shifts and portions of shifts by yourself and will need to be certified before this.
• Friendly, customer service is a must!
• Can lift up to 50 lbs

• Work 3-5 days/week, 15-30 hours/week
• Available early mornings and weekends
